45 year Male, approached me with macular edema, a vision threatening condition, diabetes complication. Her had to keep his blood sugar under check and also the BP.
Started with dlife LCHF 20:20:60. Gave him the freedom to eat whatever he likes but within 100gram carb limit per day. He decided his food and i tailored it to lchf. With this, i asked him to follow three things strictly
1. no exercise, no brisk walking.
2. no pufa oil foods
3. to measure improvement in his vision, gave him a book and kept it at a distance of 4 feet along with a calendar. Told him, the day you can see the calendar fully in left eye and the name of the book clearly, go for a eye test.
Continued with dlife LCHF, added magnesium glycinate and vitamin C, there was no change to his lchf diet.
Slowly started seeing improvements and now it is here.
The scan taken on 12th august 2025, four months later, shows a claear reduction in macular edema and subfoveal fluid. The cystoid spaces are less pronounced and the retinal architecture is more preserved, this suggests a positive response.
Dlife LCHF always wins. I was very happy to learn that his doctor was surprised to see the reduction and said, this cannot resolve like this?
This result also tells, his blood sugar would have improved and his BP would have improved.
